Wes Hodges developed his second life passion during his career as a professional baseball player with the San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Indians organizations.
The highest compensated pick for the Indians in the 2006 draft, Wes experienced first-hand the uniqueness and pressures of being an organization's top prospect and the financial fluctuations which follow draft day.
He also watched players and teammates fall victim to the common financial pitfalls of the professional athlete world, many of which were a direct result of the counsel from financial advisors.
This gave Wes his second passion; providing sound wisdom to high character athletes to prepare them for life during and after the game. Wes retired from baseball in 2012 to finish his degree concentration in Finance from Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech, a top 25 business school.
In 2015, he was hired as Player Financial Consultant for the San Francisco Giants, conducting player seminars during Spring Training and Winter Development to counsel the organization's players. Wes, his wife Katie, daughter Hazel, and son Jeren live in Charlotte, NC.
